Today has been absolutely manic fitting in skiing, eating, certificate presentations, return of ski hire equipment etc. and so the blog has taken backstage. It will be updated at the next opportunity although this may not be until Sunday, sorry.
Impressions of the week
For the staff the students have been exceptional. A day has not gone by without positive comments from members of the public about their manners and behaviour. The staff here have been wonderful as were the ski instructors. A special mention must go to Laura our rep who has been the best ever, nothing is too much trouble and really helped make this week special.
Apparently we are below average for the week with only 3 visits to the medical centre, one lost pair of boots and one lost set of poles, but we still have all the students and willbe bringing them back tomorrow.
Food has been exceptional throughout the week, despite what the students might say, proper food not burgers!
For the students the experience is summarized in the one comment at the end of the day....
Having just skiied down from 2800m along a quite steep red run I was skiing alongside a young man who had made quiet but exceptional progress in the week. "Have you enjoyed yourself?" I asked...
"Have I, its been the best week of my life"
Teaching goes beyond the classroom, it's about making a difference.
And every now and again they have a little fun...

I can't recognise anyone from the photos through the goggles and helmets! We're looking forward to getting Amy home. Thanks to all the teachers for giving up their time to take them all out there.
